This present painting depicts Pura Ulun Danu Beratan at sunset. Pura Bratan, is a major Hindu Shaivite Shiva temple in Bali, Indonesia. The temple complex is on the shores of Lake Bratan in the mountains near Bedugul. Inspired by pictures of the famous Hindu temple, I have always imagined how it would look in the dark orange lights of sunset and this is what took shape.
