Born in Kinshasa DRCongo, Lives and works London England. As an adult living with the effects of childhood trauma, Ange explores themes centered on connecting self to society. This includes exploration on belonging, control, abandonment, loneliness and repair Using mainly acrylic on canvas, the works take many forms from prints to pen on paper. Ange uses symbols in her work which create patterns. These symbols are fragments representing chaos and individuality. As part of her process members of the public are invited to contribute to the works in its infancy. This process is called the #WonderworldProject. ‘The # symbol features regularly in my work for all the times I felt silenced or I silenced myself, acting as a democratic symbol to create any narrative.’
