I am searching while painting and making visual decisions directly in the process. It is visceral, and anything feels possible. My love for nature and animals are never far from hand. Images become meditations on movement, they turn to folklore, science and the sacred. I feel like they are sometimes a counterweight to a world of despair, and why I persist.
