Painting is a way to immerse myself in a process of discovery and to work out my particular abstract language with the goal to create an authentic experience for the viewer I depend on intuitive experimentation with color and line. Abstract painting lends itself well to improvisation, the act of trusting one’s instincts in the moment that can build into a unified composition. But always the goal is to reach an aesthetic statement I have enjoyed careers as a Punch and Judy puppeteer and current guitarist instructor.
