I exhibited art from an early age and continuing throughout my adult life. My intention is to engage art with a child-like enthusiasm. This is made evident through voluminous output of drawings and paintings using only a Magnum Sharpie, many small sketch books and reclaimed objects to paint on. What keeps me creating artwork is both the process of making, meditative & informational states, as well as experimental visual applications helping to propel artwork forward. Recent developments in paint "The most beautiful marks lay hidden from the viewer" Recent paintings and drawings explore gestural abstraction allowing intention and chance to develop naturally. Jordan paints on repurposed plexi-glass and believes the most beautiful marks lay hidden from the viewer. Painting on the front and reverse side of the picture plain is a method Jordan describes as dyslexic alchemy; a dual sided method of painting transforming common paint marks into grand gestures simply by turning the plexi glass around. This method of painting fills a philosophical understanding of how the world works for the artist. We develop a way of working through intention which takes us only so far, as chance intervenes and erases our attempts to show us something new.
