my friend are you coming with me? let's go together to the moon, the moon is our symbol, symbol of femininity, it has a dark part and a light part, like us, come with me let's go to a pure place, full of love, full of peace, you and me, let’s go... I paint everything I feel inside of me and take everyone with me to another world with the colors I play with them on canvas.

Bahareh Haji Jafari was born in Tehran in 1985 and started her artistic career when she was only twelve years old. As a child she attended drawing and painting lessons and, fascinated by the profound beauty that only art is able to express, she copied the subjects in a realistic way inspired by the artists of great importance of Renaissance art. She graduated at the art school “Azadegan” specializing in art graphics and then attended drawing courses at the institute Mahe Mehr. In these years the Iranian artist becomes aware of her abilities, ranging from painting to sculpture, from graphic art to engraving, turning her to a complete artist. In 2007 she graduated in painting at the Islamic Azad University and in this period, she approached the pioneers of contemporary art history as Edvard Munch. In 2011 she moved to Italy to fulfill her greatest dream, experiencing first-hand classical and Renaissance art. In Milan she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera specializing in visual arts and at the same time she studied fashion photography at the European Institute of Design. She came into contact with Western culture, unknown to the artist until then, studying Italian contemporary painters; It is inspired in particular by the master Amedeo Modigliani, capturing the stylized faces and the female portraits, characteristic elements of the works of the artist from Livorno. In 2017 she became a pupil of Francesco Caraccio, world master of modern expressionism and artistic and spiritual student of Marc Chagall. The influence of the latter in the artistic personality of the young painter is fundamental, evident in her work, focusing mainly on human faces and figures characterized by informal research; she composes images that bring together melancholic and nostalgic subjects afflicted by a veil of sadness. Predominant is the gaze, as claimed by Haji Jafari, “through the eyes we can say everything without speaking”, attaching more importance to the expression of the face, with the aim of transmitting your mood. The figures represented are a memory of something that could be born, they are static subjects that perceive what could have been, in fact, a crucial element of the artistic path of Bahareh Haji Jafari, is the approach to crepuscularism, known literary current from which it draws inspiration.
