ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I was inspired to create this picture by the infinity and immensity of space, its grandeur and mystery. Understanding the scale and grandeur of the universe, its beauty and all-consuming essence, which encompasses everything and everyone in it. I wanted to portray the mega space as I imagine it, to depict nebulae, comets, the paths of fantastic spaceships and imagine myself part of a comprehensive space future and believe that somewhere beyond the horizon we are waiting for new worlds, new friends and new opportunities…

Hello. My name is Oleg Kool. I was born in a picturesque town in Ukraine. My whole childhood was filled with interesting and not very interesting events. I had friends with whom we spent a lot of time, as well as younger brothers. We often played in the sandbox, ran, rode bicycles, loved to walk in the park, as well as played football and other interesting sports. I have loved drawing since childhood. Most often I painted fish, the seabed and the surrounding nature. I also loved to dream and fantasize. Imagine what the world will be like in the future. What will change, what will be new, what technologies will surround us… When is the time for interplanetary travel and the exploration of unknown space? During my studies at school, I continued to dream and create interesting works of art and products. I went to extracurricular art groups, where I was introduced to the beautiful image and grandeur of art, showed how with the help of artistic means you can create and depict the world around you and the works of your own imagination. During this period of my life I took part in school and citywide art competitions and exhibitions of children's drawings and products. Already in high school I was interested in folk crafts from natural materials. It has always been interesting how people in ancient times could make household and decorative things from wood or vines, branches, grass or roots. At this time I began to master the methods of folk weaving from willow vines. Acquaintances with masters in this field, as well as love for nature, helped me to master this art form, where with the help of twigs and their harmonious interweaving I could weave to "create" the right, interesting, or unique product. I continue to master this type of folk art to this day. But after graduating from school, I decided to study the impact of art and creativity on the human psyche and began to study human psychology at university. During my student years I made many new friends from different cities of Ukraine, from whom I learned many interesting facts about their regions. He wondered what traditions there were in their families, towns or villages. I also learned about the centers of folk craftsmen who create beautiful works of natural materials. While studying at university, I also learned how the "beautiful" affects a person, his behavior, thoughts, mood and emotions.
