About The Artwork
This is a continuation of the theme started in 1989, "Our neighborhood" - when the dull, but peaceful life of the inhabitants was not threatened, even rare UFO phenomena. But here came 2014, Putin came, and everything changed. A strange and incomprehensible "hybrid war" began. There are no winners. The townsfolk lost everything: and who wanted to live in a European way, and who wanted to live in Russian. No one received anything, only lost what they had. Thousands of people were killed, millions were suffered for nothing.

Ivan Podgainyi born July 7, 1950. In 1978 he graduated from the Kharkov Art and Industrial Institute. Lived in Donetsk, Ukraine. A member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. He worked in the field of easel painting, monumental and decorative art. He took part in regional and Ukrainian exhibitions. The author of projects interiors of public buildings and exhibitions. With the outbreak of war, in 2014 he left Donetsk. All his works mainly remained in Donetsk. Their fate is unknown. Therefore they are not available for sale. He lost everything he had. He would like to creatively repeat his compositions, or create new ones based on the proposed plot. He has extensive experience in the field of portraiture.
