ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I am a professional musician having studied music composition in Tallinn, Estonia, therefore it is important for me to capture the rhythm, tonality and tempo of music with a brush on canvas. Having lived in Cyprus for many years I am also inspired by the sea and the underwater landscapes and often my abstract paintings are inspired by the underwater flowers known as actinian. My unique and spontaneous oil paintings are always executed in bold or pastel colours that bleed into one another as if they have been submerged in water. However, I have also found that the world, in it's current predicament, is too harsh and dark and wanted to create artwork that would make anyone content even in the darkest of days. It doesn't presume anything, it just is.
