ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Acrylic mixed media on canvas.one of the latest bright and energy-laden pieces directly from the artist`s studio in Germany. Lohrig`s works can be compared to a balancing act between colour and shape abstraction and object. The individual, coloured surfaces are continuously worked over with strong brush strokes. Sometimes the artist combines a variety of materials. Here is spraying involved and complementing with silk-screen printing. Many of her works carry a satirical spark in them, suggestion in contemporary condensed form the ills of modern civilization. In her paintings Lohrig meets the spirit of the mainstream generation in an aesthetic and contemporary way. The work is signed on the front and signed, titled and dated on the back. The sides are painted so it can be displayed without the need of a frame.the sides are painted and the work is ready to hang.
