when the heart opens Print

Explaining is the part where everything becomes more interesting. When I paint, I access a space that feels like a different realm than my everyday life. In this space, peace, harmony, chaos, sadness, anxiety, and stress coexist without judgment. They all come together to emerge and be translated in the forms, shapes, strokes, and colors on the canvas. They seem to have a life of their own, communicating the importance of their presence in my life. This particular painting made me realize that I used to paint from a place of pain and confusion. Now, as I journey through life and painting, I know I paint from an open heart, love, and joy. Expressing myself freely and healing inner broken parts without repression allows me to transcend physical and three-dimensional forms, which can feel particularly dense at times.
