ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I really struggled with the concept of this because it's a depiction of how I feel in the midst of depression, which is a confusing state for me. There is energy and movement present but it's all steeped in this darkness of analytical expectation, and the perception of unlimited possibilities. I feel and hear a continuous monologue of observation in times like this and it takes a lot of intention to calm it down and funnel it into something I see as worthwhile. This, in a nutshell is my attempt to balance the scale.
