ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I feel there’s a real nostalgia here, not only with the train shed but also with the interior. It’s quite beautiful and it is of an era that’s gone by, so it is important to document it and know it. The building was constructed in 1889. The terminal was expanded over the years to keep up with the growing demand. By the turn of the century, 30,000 to 50,000 people passed through the doors daily on 300 trains and about 130 ferry runs. I loved the historicity of this place and that's why I wanted to capture it

I am a documentary filmmaker and photographer based out of India. My profession and passion take me to places around the world. The images I capture depicts what and how I see the world.
