Francis Curran
Ireland
Francis Curran is based in Dublin and works through photography and illustration to create travel themed artworks focusing on captured everyday moments highlighted and enhanced through digital illustration. His ongoing Caught Outside Art Project started with photographs adapted through illustration to create screenprinted t-shirt images taken over many years travelling around the world with his cameras. These ‘Caught Outside’ Artworks have featured over the years on fine art prints, posters and t-shirts. His work has been accepted and sold at The RHA Annual Shows in Dublin in 2021 and 2022 and The Artform Annual Show in Waterford 2021. As part of an Irish Art Initiative, The Dean Hotel Cork and The Dean Hotel Galway purchased a number of large pieces for each venue. His work has been licensed for wine label design and to Habitat on their ‘Global Habitat’ series, to Selfridges London on their Brazil themed season as well as the basis for restaurant branding in Dublin, London, Spain, South East Asia and the Middle East with Facebook/Meta and other clients.
