ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Barbican is one of the world's Brutalist icons. Originally conceived as a Utopian housing estate for middle-class Londoners, its groundbreaking design is still a source of fascination for architecture and city planning enthusiasts. We spent hours on the development with our camera, trying to capture what makes the Barbican so compelling. As I walked across the concourse to the Barbican Centre, I spotted the beauty of the light in the path ahead, framed by the shadows in the concrete underpass.
