Archival Pigment Print from series "Interrupted/Ongoing". The city induced a feeling of amnesia in me. I found myself forgetting about the reoccurring particles of different forms. I feared I might get lost in the city. To recover the feeling of material continuity I created an inner garden in my rented room. Through this experience I have found myself going back and forth between being mesmerized by Death and becoming a cultivator of Life. I lived with an inner garden in midtown Manhattan for 15 months. I documented my performative self in relation to changing matter, while throughout the whole period of this “state of mind/way of living” my doors were open to people I knew who were interested in visiting that space.
