ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I used to volunteer my photography to the World Parrot Refuge. This Blue Gold Macaw caught my eye due to the saturated colors and his personality. One third of the parrots in the world are endangered due to deforestation and poaching. Some owners had little understanding of the needs of a large parrot. They like to fly and not be placed in a small cage where they self mutilate. One can hear a macaw 1/3 of a mile which doesn't make it suitable for a small apartment.
