The retreating tide leaves these little sinewy rivulet impressions in the sand and because the beach has some volcanic silt it has left dark blue patterns. Matapaua Beach in the Coromandel peninsula is quite isolated so you can find these untouched patterns at low tide.

Australia
I was born in Trinidad and Tobago and travelled all over the world with my parents before settling in The UK for my education. I went to Sherborne School and Reading University before moving to London to be a photographic assistant to many different photographers including Anthony Blake and Spencer Rowell. Then I moved to Australia to further my career in photography that is now 35 years long as a commercial and art photographer in Sydney. I have had several exhibitions including Transformation 1992, Lifeforce 1996, Sahaja 2000, and have completed new spiritual works, The Chakras, 2014 that are shown here on Saatchi Art. I now also teach photography with Alfonso Photo tours in Sydney.
