ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The day was very cold in December and it was late afternoon with the light was low. I noticed the warmth of sunlight diffusing through the perspex glass of a tired, somewhat rickerty bus shelter that seemed to be caressed by ivy. With the ordinariness of the subject, the composition, light and colour just works. I always like to romanticise the everyday things we hardly notice or care about.
