In my early art career, in the 1970’s in New York City, I produced large, non-subjective, abstract paintings. In the years since, I have continued to make art, including sculpture and conceptual art and, throughout my career, I have always used photography. In the last thirty years or so, I have found interesting and, often, quite remarkable abstract images with photography, which in many ways are similar to those early abstract paintings. Also, during this time, I have made many landscape and other subjective photographs which, with regard to color, composition and contrast, also reflect my many years of producing fine art.
