ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In a ravine filled with autumn trees, fallen branches and colorful leaves, this hollow space of dangling roots grabbed my attention. It reminded me of a secret, sort of spooky, underground hideout for some small creature. And, while this curtain of dried straggly roots hanging in a mud-caked little cavern probably wouldn’t be considered eye-appealing, they are vital for the survival and beauty of trees.
