ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I actually went to White Sands several times- it's an always changing place. And what, with Trump as President, who knew when or if the place wouldn't just be turned over to gas and oil or to toxic nuclear waste? So, I shot it often. And frequently with women who were frequently nude. The idea behind that was kind of an Ed Weston meets the 9/11 jumpers. But that's not what these landscapes speak to. The desert Southwest, long seen as a foreboding, miserable and empty space is truly the greatest!
