ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Just imagine a world of freedom, where you travel with the wind and live where you land. This is the life of a dragonfly and in particular, this one that I captured (photographically, of course) on a blade of grass in the midst of the Everglades, in Florida. Perched at the back of an airboat - we were the last two to board - and trying not to lose my balance as it flew through the water, mostly because I didn't want to be eaten by one of the 200,000 alligators that live there, I saw this beauty minding its own business and clicked the shutter before the boat kicked up loads of spray and headed in another direction. Two worlds colliding in one perfect moment. A moment of absolute calm for the dragonfly, captured during a moment of intense noise, movement, heat and colour for me.
