Tatsiana Siadova was born in 1971 in Minsk, BSSR. Tatiana personally develops films and print the photographs. Additionally, she prepares the surface of the paper or fabric herself for printing certain photos. In her artistic practice, Tatiana also utilizes the technique of cyanotype. Tatiana keeps up with modern technology as well – she enjoys using a projector for creative studio shoots. Photographers and artists who have influenced Tatiana Sedova's work include Julia Margaret Cameron (1815-1879), Platt Lynes (1907-1955), Richard Avedon (1923-2004), Yves Klein (1928-1962), Gerhard Richter (1932), Joel-Peter Witkin (1939), and Roger Ballen (1950). Tatiana Sedova's works exude thoughtfulness, melancholy, and poeticism. "I would like people to look at my works and escape the confines of contemporary hustle and bustle, take a moment to look around and realize that life is fleeting and we can't grasp everything. The most important thing is to savour the present moment, which will never return; to reflect on their way of life, where they are heading, and why; to remember their long-forgotten dreams."
