"Lose myself in you" (Sit tibi copia nostra) is the red thread of the photographic artwork on Echo and Narcissus’ myth from The Metamorphosis of Ovid. It’s a love that feeds and consume itself with the desire to be with the other, being the passion of the river Cephissus for Liriope or the one that drives Echo towards the disdainful Narcissus consumed by the love for his own image. Each of the twelve scenes symbolizes an aspect of the desire, an aspiration, a hope, a satisfied or disappointed will. The characters of the myth are immersed in the elements of nature to the point of being almost imprisoned by those that from time to time prevail on the scene. The natural elements are evoked with three of the five platonic solids, geometric figures which represent the whole reality. They serve to tell the myth through the symbolism associated with the main characters: water for Narcissus (icosahedron), air for Echo (octahedron), fire for the passion consuming both (tetrahedron), it’s a visual recall never rigid or univocal. Scene Six - Encounter "By chance, the boy, separated from his faithful band of followers, had called out ‘Is anyone here?’ and ‘Here’ Echo replied". (Ovid - Metamorphosis)
