ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was inspired by the utterly defeating, that a total deflation of self brought on by the realization of self certainly going to hell for falling from natures embrace and becoming synthetic. I hope it’s viewers can enjoy the loss of expectation in the figure. I choose to work in collage to express a realistic visual language because I thought it most powerful for this serious moment in the figures life. Contemplating being past the point of no return one looses all he has and dies inside; to fully accept his certain damnation. All of this is set in a verdant garden.
