About The Artwork

Looking back towards Miami it was amazing to think I was on a quiet island having cruised only 50 miles where the Gulf Stream ends and The Great Bahama Bank begins. This is an open edition print. Saatchi will create a museum grade canvas Giclée reproduction stretched and ready to hang with an optional 1.25 inch frame. This work is also available on archival 310 GSM European made fine art paper and 260 g/m2 luster finish gallery photo paper, each with framing options. Note: The original is available by commission, large scale on a variety of two dimensional substrates or as a sculptural light installation. Please contact a trade advisor at https://www.saatchiart.com/trade to discuss your project specifications. I am currently exploring dynamism in prototype motorcycle racing and offshore sailing. It is the stillness, in ever evolving change that carries deep meaning for me. It is the exploration of meditation in motion and the unraveling from the inside out, to only arrive with a deeper sense of intuition and heightened sense of awareness that has inspired me. My yoga practice plays a big part in this investigation. I began my work as an artist in skydiving while finishing my MFA in Santa Barbara, CA. This path eventually led me to prototype motorcycle racing. Here, I have devoted ten years so far, into looking at rider and machine blurring into a lyrical passage, permeating the senses and born into the present. Oceanic aspects connected to immersive qualities feel similar while sailing. Perceived notions of duration are subject to creative destruction. I work with the Hasselblad H4D-40 digital equipment, on board and trackside.
