Marco Grassi Nato e residente a Livorno (Toscana / Italia) nel 1967, si interessa di fotografia fin dai tempi della scuola media. Ma è solo negli ultimi 10 anni che il suo percorso artistico è cambiato, ritagliandosi uno spazio nel vasto mondo della fotografia e caratterizzando uno stile sempre più legato agli aspetti sociali, attraverso le sue immagini di vita comune, tutte cariche di grandi significati. Per passione la maggior parte del lavoro è in bianco e nero, ma vivendo in Toscana a volte appare indispensabile l'uso del colore, anche se si tratta di un colore malinconico, dai tratti tenui, con un'impronta della scuola macchiaiola come le sue origini livornesi.
