ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Surrealists are the ones who inspired my current collection. This particular work illustrates 'envy' as an illustration of a desire for attention and affection no matter what the cost. No matter what the price. This 'me too' pictorial of the want of a desire to be wanted. I have found the the contradiction and the messages in the Surrealists fascinating in its depiction and their methodology of illustrating their work. I have adapted their unique perspective in the a photographic work. I do not dabble in just the humorous aspects of color and design for their own sake. Dimensionality of meaning should have some respect in the work!
