My passions are primarily photography, art, and mineralogy. I started painting in 2005 and as a self-taught acrylic artist, I will say that it's been a long road and a never ending learning experience. It took me two solid years to get the hang of how to apply paint to canvas and then how to bring to life what I saw in my head. I have sold well over 6,000 paintings over the decades in the form of 16x20" stretched canvas, 4x4" wooden blocks, and 2.5x3.5" ACEO's. My collections and themes range widely, but you'll typically find my winter landscapes, snowmen, aliens, Halloween, Christmas scenes, cats, birds, woodland creatures, monochrome, abstracts, and butterfly art. When I'm not painting, I'm out in the woods camping, hiking, and studying nature. I love streams and lakes, cats, baking, doing creative writing or journaling projects, and I am a huge rock hound! My photography is based mostly in the outdoors where I find interesting scenes or random things that strike me in a way that just screams "capture this moment or setting." I especially am fond of rainy days, but mostly the timing of just when the rain stops and everything is still dripping wet.
