Ever since my journey in photography began in 1983 I have been captivated by light, shadow, tone and colour. The way these simple ingredients combine in myriad different ways is a constant source of wonder and even more amazing is that photography has given me a way to capture the thrill and the buzz I get from the way a shadow falls on a yellow wall or seeing shapes created by the angle of a street lamp. My work encompasses a wide variety of subjects and I generally have no fixed agenda other than to somehow translate what I see in my mind’s eye into an image which people can understand and relate to.
