Florida Ground (burrowing) Owls are making a comeback. Recently, it seams, they decided to mingle with people, rather than be frightened away by rural development. These owls used to be only available to view in the wild. Lately they decided to find suitable burrowing sites among city dwellers. While still protected, their numbers are increasing. Spotting them may be somewhat difficult. They blend well with their location.
