Garrick's Temple to Shakespeare on the Thames Riverside at Hampton was built by the 18th century actor-manager David Garrick in 1756 to celebrate the genius of William Shakespeare. During the 18th century, an Arcadia (idyllic pastoral landscape) was re-created along the Thames below Richmond Hill. Magnificent Royal and aristocratic palaces were constructed along with gardens and parks. Quite often the pictures are devoid of people but the architecture speaks of a human presence. Polaroids have a timeless quality - nuances of a historical photographic process which allows the subject to be looked at minus the trappings and associations of a particular point in history, which can enhance one's focus. Shot with now very rare expired Polaroid Type 100 Film. In 2010 production of all Polaroid pack film ceased. Each pack of Polaroids have a unique colour range as the expired film and chemicals age. I continue to use this film to this day.
