ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This photo was taken during the 2018 Songkran celebrations in Luang Prabang, Laos. The festival is the traditional Lao new year period and water is the main theme of the festival. As in Buddhist culture water represents renewal, the whole country engages in massive water fights to cleanse everybody thus the new year is celebrated with the outmost excitement and joy. I hope viewers will be able to feel the pureness of the people of Laos and their genunine smiles since they are really inspiring people which we all can learn from.
