My name is Galatea Georgiou, a Greek Cypriot currently residing in Sweden. From a young age, I've always been a curious and creative individual. At the age of 15, I received my first camera. This ignited my passion for photography, an art form that allowed me to capture and express my perception of the world around me. During my teenage years, I also developed a profound interest in music, studying classical guitar and music theory. Furthermore, I began writing poems and lyrics. These creative pursuits - photography, poetry, and music - became integral ways for me to express my feelings. In my professional life, I chose a path in medicine and am specializing in psychiatry. This field has deepened my understanding of human nature and behavior, further enriching my creative work. My photography spans various genres - from street to portraiture to landscape and nature photography. I draw inspiration from the subtle beauty of nature and the raw details of everyday life. My aim is for my photos to evoke emotions and convey narratives that resonate. In 2018, I made the first steps in my artistic journey. I participated in several group photography exhibitions and released a photopoetry book titled 'Rebirth'. In 2019, I took a step further in my music career by releasing three singles, followed by my first EP in 2021. Since these accomplishments, I have continued to pursue my creative interests with fervor. Now, I aspire to host my own solo photography exhibition in the near future.
