This was inspired, both by the fairy tale of the goose that laid the golden egg and the legend of Robin Hood. At the goose fair, held every year in Nottingham, Robin Hood won an archery competition. The prize was meant to have been a golden arrow. To create the arrow, golden feathers would have been required for a fletcher to attach. This picture is of golden feathers, that are still attached to the bird, ready to be plucked and fletched to the arrow. There is a hopefulness and vibrancy.

I am an abstract and minimalist photographer, based in the U.K. My interest in photography as art grew out of receiving a camera for my 26th birthday. From there I developed my interest in abstract art by visiting galleries, including Tate Modern. My photography has been described as quirky, surrealist, weird, and experimental. The variety of techniques I use, and my keen eye for the unusual, have created an engaging array of photographs. A few other my canvases (related to floral themes) are available at: ://
