Gondola at Sunset, Venice Abstract. In Venice in 2018, after an afternoon treated to the two best opera singers on the Grand Canal..end of a beautiful day with a lovely sunset. I sandwiched two negatives together to get this unusual view of a very overloaded subject. Eliot

Eliot Siegel (that's me..) was born at St Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan in October of 1958. (They've torn it down, so sad) When Black & White Photography was offered for the first time in my NY high school, (1974) I jumped at the chance and a great passion was born. Continuing in photography and psychology at University, I studied fine art, portraiture and fashion. Back in the real world, (1980) after 4 years as assistant fashion photographer in NYC, I packed up and moved to Milan, Italy for 4 years, then Paris and finally settling in London as a fashion magazine and fashion advertising photographer. I was fortunate enough to have worked for British Vogue, GQ, Manner Vogue, (Munich) Italian Harper's Bazaar, (Milan) L'Officiel (Paris) and quite a few more. Before I had left for Milan in 1985, I'd worked in NYC for Cosmopolitan and Essence magazines. I Always kept my heart in the Fine Art mode, throughout my career.
