About the Artist

James Wigger

United States

James Wigger was born in Farmington, Missouri in 1957. After a career in graphic design he began to explore large format photography in 2010. He has recently learned the antique photographic process of wet plate collodion, which was first introduced in 1850. Being a self-taught artist his influences are many, but the main one is music, due the emotional content it conveys without any visual baggage. James has exhibited in Scotland, France, the Netherlands, and New York City along with a number of galleries in the US. His work has been featured in magazines and books such as Shots, SEITIES, Blur, PH Magazine, Quite Frankly, and Unlimited Grain: Portraits to name a few. James lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
