Juan Ant about the project 'Gravity, Light, Capital!': Gravity, light and capital are the most persistent muses of art. You find them everywhere, all the time throughout art history. Like any other muse, they are both inspirational and limiting for an artist. We take their existence too much for granted, so we sometimes forget how ignorant we are about their true nature. Since we mostly operate at a micro-level in our daily life, where biology and psychology seem to account for most of our actions, we tend to forget that all of this is framed within the macro context shaped by Gravity, Light and Capital. The contemporary landscapes I present under the title 'Gravity, Light, Capital!' have been altered and fictionalized in order to explore the materialist mysteries of these macro entities.
