Hagia Sophia, Istanbul. Print - Limited Edition of 10

I have been a practising advertising photographer for nearly 50 years, having learnt my photographic skills at The London College of Printing. Now retired, after working in London and the West Country, my time and attention has been drawn to a far more creative approach to the photographic image. My pointillist style of photography goes back many decades to a love of a film emulsion that produced extremely grainy results. Despite the demise of that emulsion and the dawn of new technologies, I have been able to successfully make the transition into the digital era, producing images similar in style to my early personal work. I am drawn to many varied subjects but generally see my own work as nostalgic observations and studies in which colour, texture and light play a significant roll. My work has been shown in various exhibitions and venues around the world and have images in private collections.
