Art Description

Photography: Digital, Manipulated, New Media, Photo on Other.

I am driven by a love for mental and visual inspiration. Words and images are the interwoven spirits of my art. My poems and ‘haiku’ writings are the foundation stones on which I build my artwork through combining mental and visual matter to a unique composition. I use diverse visual elements for my compositions, mostly photo images, but also drawings digitally merged with my photography. The different fonts, styles, sizes of my poems/haiku writings and even its transparency are part of my artwork’s composition. Through my artwork I communicate a concept that I have been writing about in my book and on my website sumuniversal.com. My artwork is an extension of that what I have been communicating through my writings at SUM UNIVERSAL, which I would like to communicate to a much wider audience. Therefore I included the visual representation to my communication with the world.

I took this picture when I made a side trip to Spokane in July 2019 on my extended trip. The sculpture can be found along I-90 in East Washington.
