ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A profound image that comes at the intersection of faith, worship, unity, and diversity. A collection of hands of varying nationalities all reach far and wide in order to touch the sacred doors of the Kabah, the holiest site in the Islamic tradition. This image was shot on film without planning, as I carried out Tawaf (circular movement around the Kabah) during my pilgrimage to the holy land. All of man is levelled out in the eyes of God. The hand to your right could be a billionaire and the hand on your left could be the janitor who mops the same floors.
