Melanie Hönig has worked as a painter, photographer and event producer, organizing and promoting large-scale arts and cultural events in Los Angeles, London and Washington, DC. After studying painting and journalism, Hönig completed summer intensives in photography at the Royal College of Art in London. Her artwork is influenced by extensive travels throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the US, which she blogs about on . Recently returning to her artistic roots, she now shows in regional galleries in the South and works with designers on commissioned pieces and surface design projects. Touching on topics of myth, fantasy and memory, her current work features digitally-manipulated photography that evokes the passage of time and a strong sense of place.
