I am a professional underwater portrait photographer (self-taught) located in Los Angeles, California. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Statement: In a world that increasingly values perfectionism as perpetuated by society and supported by social media, I have discovered a calling in illuminating the unique beauty that lies within each of us through the medium of photography. Specifically, I find that underwater portraiture possesses a magical quality that elevates it to an art form that should be accessible to all. Water is a marvelous co-creator in this endeavor, lending effortless elegance to every movement and pose. Words cannot do justice to the delight and exultation that my clients express during these sessions, nor the sense of accomplishment and self-esteem that they carry with them upon leaving the pool. It is my intention to extend this opportunity to anyone who desires it, irrespective of age, skin color, body type, or gender identity. The seed of my passion was planted when I witnessed the absolute joy that my children experienced while playing ins and under water. It was through capturing these early, candid photographs of my family that I recognized the calling to use photography as a way for celebrating individuality and self-appreciation. My children also taught me that sometimes a simple, unfiltered expression of gratitude and recognition can dramatically alter someone's perspective on life. I strive to emulate this ethos with my clients, conveying to them my genuine appreciation for their unique beauty and essence. Through my lens, they are transformed into exquisite works of art, free from the constraints of self-criticism. I believe that learning to view oneself as a work of art can foster a more positive, authentic way of living, enabling us to better show up for ourselves and for others.
