ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Ciudad de Islas A photographic exploration of mexico city, its landscapes and iconic buildings, spaces that by force of everyday life tend to be ignored by its inhabitants. A search of form on the city space. The alienation of everyday life confronts the inhabitants of the largest city in the country with a series of events from traffic and long distances to reach their workplaces, the high cost of living and competitiveness to such a degree that the recognition of buildings and landmarks of the city is left aside. Ciudd de Islas, seeks to create a closer connection between the inhabitants, the spaces and representative buildings of the cdmx. City of islands, of open spaces in closed cities, of taking the time to look at the place we pass through, of city islands and open spaces; daily pieces of the most transparent region. the islands beyond the concrete of mexico city.
