In his spare time, Richard loves to experiment with abstract still life concepts. Richard's attention to detail and an adept understanding of light manipulation gives his imagery a refined and polished quality. Not all photographers ‘fell into’ photography. Richard is one of a rare breed who always wanted to be one, and has been shooting ever since he left art school. Brought up in the good old days of clunky 10×8 cameras and dangerous chemicals, Richard now rejoices in the new digital era. Shooting layer upon layer to achieve the perfect result, and not a smelly polaroid in sight. However, there is one thing Richard laments… the long lunches waiting for the film to come back from the lab!
