ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Imagine being so high that you are actually in a cloud and all the trees are in a cloud! This is one of the remarkable things about being in the hills of Paramin in Trinidad. A corbeau is a turkey vulture in the Caribbean and it is French for raven. This is a very common bird found in Trinidad and these birds rule in the sky in Paramin. They are resilient birds and it remarkable how they are able to navigate the high winds and humidity of the tropical temperatures.

She is primarily inspired by Chinese landscape ink paintings that have evolved into a more contemporary expressive style. Photography has been a long time interest of the artist since she was a child. Recently, she has been dedicating more time to exploring this new form of art. It has been an enjoyable journey in understanding the world from a different perspective, compared to the creative process of painting, which she is accustomed to.
