Antonio Galloro, is a full member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers and the International Cinematographers Guild. He graduated with a BFA in Film & Television Production from Humber College. After graduation, Antonio began his career as a camera assistant and quickly moved up to the position of Director of Photography. His first experience as a cinematographer was on the music video Maestro, "Stick to Your Vision", which was nominated for Best Cinematography at the Much Music Video Awards. His short film, "Nightshade", won the Hollywood Shorts Award for Best Director at the 2005 New York International Independent Film & Video Festival. His short film, "Forsaken", was nominated for Best Short Film at the 2006 Cyprus International Film Festival and has been screened at Cannes, Clermont-Ferrand, and at the Brussels International Film Festival. In addition, "Forsaken" has become part of the permanent collection of the Brooklyn Museum of Modern Art. Antonio directed and photographed the feature documentary film, "Northern Lights." A film that celebrates the Spirit and Success of Canadian Cinematography. The film features interviews with acclaimed cinematographers and directors including Atom Egoyan, Norman Jewison, Mark Irwin, and Paul Sarossy. "Northern Lights" won the Best International Documentary Film Award at the 2010 New York International Independent Film & Video Festival and was nominated for Best Documentary Film at the 2010 Marbella International Film Festival. It has also been officially selected into The 1st Doi Saket International Film Festival 2010 and the Avanca'11 Film Festival. Antonio has photographed many TV spots for such clients as: Nike, Coors, Bayer, and Samsung. He has also photographed numerous award winning music-videos for such diverse artists as: Moby, Nick Cannon, Angie Martinez, and Maestro. In 2007, he formed Galloro Productions Inc., concentrating his efforts on producing, directing and photographing innovative and unique films. He is developing several feature film projects, most notably a psychological thriller entitled "The Stalking Moon."
