ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Following up on both my evolving plan to list my art work, photography and visual digital work, plus followup on my most immediate previous listing here on Saatchi Art of my photo and digitized poster version of my 2012 capture of the Eiffel Tower during a Paris, I finally decided on a 2001 photo I took in 2001 at Monet's home and garden pond in Giverny. My wife and I took a short and very enjoyable group tour bus trip from Paris to the site of Monet's final home, prepared to be pleased with what we'd find in Giverny, and were totally impressed with the quiet immersive beauty of both the grounds and his home, both of which we were able to leisurely quietly wander at will. This photo, Monet’s Garden Spring Rain in Giverny circa 2001, was the one I chose to offer at the many art shows, malls, and festivals I used to do so many of, and wish I could still do. But at 73, I'm grateful to be able to do this, share my work and tell my story as I post, here online at Saatchi Art 🙏😊 My next upload, I'll share an image of my 2005 painting from my photo, which I eventually sold at the Javits Center in New York 2008. In the process, I'm literally also discovering how to present my own 4+ decades worth of creative effort, veering from decade to decade, and from paintings to photography to digital, following a sometimes blind intuitive creative urge onto those various visual outlets. Sometimes confusingly so, sometimes surprisingly pleasingly so. I often hear it's the journey, not the destination ( my various completed works of art ) that counts. I'm beginning to understand, and somewhat believe that may be true, lol! 😊 ❤️

082124 update - My earliest memories of making art were my early school years, 1st - 3rd grade, watching colors from crayons and watercolors dance with reflections from the light across rough bumpy paper 😊 I'm still working with that fascination, alternating between smooth and rough, lines and blocks of color. It's best to say, at nearly 74 years of age, I'm finally beginning to accept I don't like doing only fields of color, or line-work, or abstract or representational. So here at Saatchi Art, I present my smorgasbord of work in differing mediums or styles - but I do think what has always persisted is - my sense of awe with life - internal, external, and mingled. Please feel free to contact me with and questions 🙏😊❤️
