I was born in 1972 in the town of Burg near Magdeburg in eastern Germany. Back then, in the days of the GDR, there were no digital cameras. I took photos with my father's Weltax in 6x6 format with a Zeitz lens. Today I work as a radio journalist and I write satirical books. But my greatest passion is photography. I spend every spare minute I have with my camera taking pictures of cities, landscapes, people and objects. I am interested in painterly, abstract and often ambiguous motifs. Many of the photos I have taken on my travels are printed in travel guides.
